Support Your Parks Spring Event: Saturday April 19th at 10am – In-Person (Open to all)
This month is the quarterly Parks on the Air event! Support Your Parks weekend is an opportunity for interested Amateurs to gather and activate a local park with friends. Parks on the Air provides a fun, social way to get on the radio and patronize your local State Parks. The event this month will occur at Island Lake Recreation Area under the HICKORY Shelter – We will meet starting at 10am, and be on the radio through about 2pm! Come on out, and learn more about Parks on the Air and get on the radio!
Monthly: Club-Meeting: Sunday April 13th at 6:30pm – In-Person (Open to all)
The monthly club-meeting is an opportunity for members to meet in person and share a dinner (optional) at the Witch’s Hat Brewing Company (starts at 5pm) before proceeding across the street to the official meeting place. Club meetings occur at Witch’s Hat Depot starting at 6:30pm, and generally last 1 hour. Topics for each months meeting will be posted prior to the meeting. This event is open to anyone with an interest in the club or amateur radio. You do not need to be a member to join us!
Monthly: 2-Beer Social Radio Hour: Friday April 25th @ 4:45 pm – In-Person (Open to all 21up)
Come check out our “2-beer Social” and chat about radio projects with other like minded folks! We would love to see you and raise a pint with some club members to talk about the hobby and enjoy a cold brew at the end of the week. Occurs the last Friday of each month from 4:45-7:00pm (or beyond, feel free to come a bit late if your work or commute dictates). Join us as we explore the semi-local microbrew scene!
This month we will meet at Block Brewing Company in Brighton! Block offers a full menu of food in addition to their beer, so come with an appetite.
Weekly: Sunday Evening 8pm – The Official SLAARC NET (Open to all licensed Amateurs)
Join us to chat about your recent radio achievements, hear club news, and have a chat with other club members. The weekly Sunday Evening net is the official NET of the SLAARC club and occurs on each Sunday on N8SL (147.040+ 110.9pl) where the club doesn’t have a regular monthly in-person Meeting!
As a reminder, we’re always looking for club members to volunteer to run the net! Please check out the sign-up sheet and help support our club activities if you are able!
Weekly: Thursday Evening 10pm – The Informal Late-Night Roundtable. (Open to all licensed Amateurs)
The Late-Night round table brings a bit more casual conversation with other night-owls on the repeater N8SL (147.040+ 110.9pl). This is not a formal net, so feel free to come by, jump into the conversation whenever a topic peaks your interest. Hosted by N8JRD or W8KNX, we’d love to have you for a late-evening chat!

Weekly: Saturday Morning 8:30am – In Person Radio Breakfast – In-Person (Open to all)
Join a group of club members on Saturday morning to get your day started right! Chat radio and life with other like minded folks over your choice of breakfast at the South Lyon Lucas Coney Island. The event starts at 8:30am and runs as long as you’re willing to sip a warm cup of coffee! See you there.
