Branden – NN8DX Operating the FT710 for Autumn SYP
October 19th weekend (Saturday) the SLAARC club rendezvoused at the Pinckney State Recreation Area to operate together in celebration of the hobby and the spirit of POTA for the Autumn Support Your Parks weekend! With the bands already brimming-over with operators around the country participating not only in the Support Your Parks event, but Jamboree on the Air, and NY QSO Party, finding a slot open in the popular 20m and 40m space could be difficult!
Attendees to the event were treated to an unseasonably warm fall morning, with glass smooth water over the adjacent lake and the sun beaming down. As the morning progressed, the temperatures picked up and club members Branden, Ray, Jerry, Louis, Eric, James, Rory, and Jim all found success activating the park operating in both Side Band and FT8.
