Spring is Coming – Still

We continue to have tastes of Spring. March sort-of went, out like a Lamb, being chased by a Lion! As of this writing, we are having snow falling and melting upon hitting the ground. The still gives us all some time to do that important antenna project with snow showers. Like the saying goes;

“April Snow Showers, May Antenna Powers”

Siren Testing

The April siren testing in Oakland Country will occur during the weekday;

April 11 (Wednesday) at 1:00 PM; special test in recognition of Severe Weather Awareness Week.

Events

The Michigan QSO Party (MiQP) occurs on the Saturday of the third full weekend in April. For 2017, the contest will start on Saturday, April 15, 2017. The contest period runs from 1200 EDST to 2400 EDST (16Z Saturday until 04Z Sunday UTC). All stations may operate the full twelve hours. More information may be found here.
